Hi.

i just bought an i7 4790K and installed it .

i did a stress test on stock right after truing it on.

this is what i am getting in regard of temps.

i'm confused are these ok temps or not CPU cooler is Corsair H55 .

i'm not going to overclock it in near future coz i don't need it i think.

i'll check the boot limit of overclock but will downclock it after that to stock .

Do i need a better cooler or its ok for now ...?

For a H55 they are fine, a H55 is a low end AIO so don't expect to much out of it as far as cooling performance.

Any suggestion for better cooler?

For air, the Noctua NH-D15 is the current leader of air coolers, for a AIO(All in one liquid cooler) look at the Corsair H100i/H105/H110 NZXT Kraken x41/x61 or anything 140mm/240mm/280mm AIO for better cooling performance.

Swiftech h220x is also a great option. Outperforms all of the other all-in-one liquid coolers, and quieter too. It runs about 20-30 dollar more though. I think it's a little larger in some ways as well, so you'll pribably want to make sure your case will be compatible with it. Good luck!

Don't run a stress test on Devil's Canyon chips unless you're on manual voltage.  Long-story-short: it will overvolt your cpu.

If you're not overclocking, then the cooler you have is fine.  60°C at load is low, and that chip won't start to throttle until you get to ~100°C.  I wouldn't be worried until you were hitting 80°C consistently.

The H55 is fine for now, but when you get around to overclocking it, you should probably pick up a more effective cooler.

Isopropyl alcohol is all you need for cleaning CPU's and motherboard components.  No, you don't need [insert cleaning solution here].  -Source: PhD Student, Chemistry

Seems about right. My 120x in push (couldn't get the other fan on), with a curve that focuses on quietness, hits about 80 at 1.3v with my 4690k.

Running stress tests with static voltage might yield better results as some programs don't play nicely with adaptive voltage, though Intel's XTU stress test seems to be fine with it.

EDIT: Was I even reading the right thing when I put that first bit in?

Temps are fine.
