ok so i think i have CPU cooling covered with a thermaltake water 3.0 with 6 fans in push pull but what about my GPU? iv'e been looking around for GPU all in one water coolers and i found one from NZXT (kracken G10) and one from corsair (hydro hg10). assuming all in one means no custom loop (and no maintenance) this could be a great option for me. do you guys know if i can use this with the thermaltake water 3.0 or do i have to buy another AIO water cooler?

The Corsair HG10 is only compatible with R9 290/X reference designs and GTX 780 reference designs if I'm not mistaken. Your better bet is the Kraken G10.

If you are  going to Liquid Cool your GPU I would STRONGLY Suggest getting a 980 or another High Power Card

ah yes i forgot to mention i will be getting the 960 just to use for a few weeks until i have the cash to get a 980. also probably wont be getting this cooler right off the bat.

Don't do that...

Just wait to get the 980 and not waste 200$ on a 960

Because he had a hard drive.

well its only 2 weeks pay and i am going to sell it to my friend so i will probably only lose 100. and i don't want to wait a day longer than i have to to get this computer

Wow so you only going to lose half your investment. WELL in that case go right ahead. How could one argue with that logic. (face palm)

Not necessarily. The G10 is a very cheap ($10-30 bucks depending on site and if on sale) option to liquid cool almost any GPU. If you are going to custom loop a GPU? Yes make sure it's top tier. Something like this? It's not that big of an investment and I could see it being used for people wanting to liquid cool GPU on a budget.

A few weeks? Sorry dude that's just really stupid. Just wait the few weeks so you don't waste 200 dollars...are you that impatient?

You can only water cool one thing with a single non expandable AIO cooler. So you can that Thermaltake on either the cpu or gpu, but not both simultaneously. And by the way a triple 120 (360mm) AIO is way overkill. As for the brackets look at some reviews and make sure they are compatible with the card you plan on buying. I don't think the corsair bracket is compatible with the 980. So would have to wait fro a "900 series" version which may take awhile.

Just in case you read it somewhere the NZXT Kraken G10 bracket doesn't have VRAM overheat problems in standard usage cases.

i am going to get the 360mm radiator and 2 dual packs of sp120s (the dual pack was only 3 bucks more than a single) to go in push pull with the 3 included fans. i know its over kill but my CPU is a 4790k and thus runs pretty hot. so my question is what AIO cooler should i get for my GPU? how big is big enough?

Its still a overkill unless your going balls to wall overclocking or want to barely have the fans spinning. Push pull is also aside from looks little help, plus added noise.

As for the gpu a 980, a 120mm single fan rad would be sufficient but would require a faster spinning fan to move more air, and IMO you water cool using the AIO method more for silence than overclocking, I think full card waterblocks are much better for overclocking, because the water is also cooling the other components of the card which get hotter while overclocking, something that the AIO bracket coolers don't do such a good job at but is sufficient enough for mild OC'ing and standard gaming use. Also advisable if you go the NZXT G10 route to get some Vram and VRM (most importantly) heatsinks and some double sided thermal adhesive tape.

Anyway Ideally and without cost restraints and available room in the case, I would go with a 240MM you can turn even the loudest fans down to a very low speed and quiet level and still maintain great temps.

Something I learned when saving up to build my PC is that the more patience you have, the happier you will be in the long run.
