290X Lighting vs GTX 970 G1 Gaming

I have to disagree with almost all replies to this...the 290X Lighting has similar performance to the 970 out of the box, but the overclocking capabilities are going to be better on the 970. I also do understand I am slightly biased in the fact that personally I do like Nvidia drivers more but in my opinion, sure it might be more at the start but the overclocking potential is amazing. Freesync is also just something i'm not all too big on but if thats what you are looking for than the 290X is for you but other than that I would choose the 970.

Yeah, I guess I gotta go with the Lightning, the best 290X "hands down" according to Linus.

Well it`s still pretty good. It`s not like your dad opted to kick you in the balls instead. You`re getting a fresh as shit 290x lightning. Enjoy mate.
