newer seen 970g1 going higher than 1589mhz i achieved 1568 max on g1 but on air

 

well it runs at 1650 during games! 

 

i got a good chip also did you use OC GURU? MSI afterburner doesn't let you set the minimum voltage offset (very important), only set a higher max offset of +87

 

personally i'm a fan of BIOS overclocking, i'm sure it can go way higher than 1600 with proper BIOS tweaks + nvflashie

 

(bios lets you flush in more power, voltage, and more!)

What I did was make a skin that looks like how I look in real life, enlarge it then smooth it. Then I got my current minecraft skin, did the same and stuck it on top.
