Relatively close. Don't forget your overheads. If in doubt, double check now, before you buy.

tends to be conservative and underestimate. you need to remember everyone also tends to over recommend power supplies also. also have to factor in power supplies are not 100% efficient. if you could share your PCpartpicker im sure we could help!

Yeah shoot us a link. We'll tell ya! :D

Take it with a pinch of salt. If you ask on the forums (full specs), people will be able to tell you how much power you need.

That PSU is fine, however that CPU will bottleneck the hell out of a 970 and that cooler doesn't fit in that case.

How can you be sure it will bottleneck? And the cooler will fit The site has made an error I have the case and there is plenty of room.

Mine is a bottleneck for my 280, which is less powerful.

That sounds strange to me, I thought it was at least a reasonably decent quad core.

Unless you can get a crazy OC on it, I can guarantee it will bottleneck,

That was going to be my plan of action anyway, thus the reasoning behind the AIO for a seemingly lower tier CPU. I went AMD because I want bang for my buck, I'll probably push this thing to it's limit.

I can't get any OC on mine with a cooler on par with a 212 EVO. I'd just go with a locked i5 if I were you.

No OC will not help. You have a damn 970, why not 4690k?

amd cpus arent that great get an i5 it is millions times better

Oh really, I can guarantee u a fx 9590 beats ANY i5 in rendering. And in gaming, the FX 8x or 9x is only behind 5-10 frames. Thats not even a "million" times better

Depends what your playing at what resolution.

But if your playing 1080p-720p that card push a junk ton of frames persecondnd the CPU might not be able to keep up.

If your playing most games your CPU will have troubles pushing more than 70 Fps unless its not too CPU heavy.

Also You cant really run tons of Background apps all the time.

And in Planetside 2 (Incredibly CPU heavy game) You might get 30-50 Fps Small fights and 20-30 Medium and <15-20 Huge fights.

But you should be fine if you dont run youtube videos or something in the background.

1st of all sarcasm second of all 10 frames per second is quite a big difference and yes it beats it in rendering but thats probably not his use pretty sure its for gaming

10 frames per second can mean choppy and smooth i dunno about you but i care about my games not running choppy and what the hell the processor your talking about isnt even the one he was going to get he was going to get the athlon

My Cheap But Good Rig: I7-3770s, Intel Motherboard (actually made by intel), 16gb DDR3, Nvidia Gtx 1070, 250gb Samsung 850 EVO SSD, 750gb HDD, Evga 500 BR power supply

Then say an Anthlon. Not AMD cpu. Gosh damnit, anything above 60 is smotth. So 60 and 70 is not that big of a deal dipshit

well unless you want to loose some of your computers performance and he got a 1440p monitor and if he wants to crank the settings all the way up with his 970 he might not be able to max out his game and get 60 fps and not to mention it is never a bad think to have ten more frames ten more frames would make a very nice difference in the future where games will get more demanding games and the 970 will have a harder time running games sorry but you are wrong
