Can anyone link me a good pump/res combo or seperate for a total of around 100$. Can stretch if needed.

Preferably from frozencpu.com

Used with single cpu block, dual 180mm rad, and gpu block in future.

Thanks!

Do NOT get the Larkooler water cooling kit. It sucks.

That is all.

(Raijintek Triton is expandable AIO water cooling kit, looks nice, no good and thorough reviews that I've seen yet though)

I'm normally not against buying used things, but a used pump is a little iffy..... I'm sure it still works but wonder how long the lifespan will be.

Your choice though.

pass on that pump. since you are looking to include the GPU later, that pump will

work (for a short time) and then you have the task of replacing h2o parts already

filled.

there just are certain parts you can gamble on for water cooling and not have

them crap your loop. water pumps are usually not the gambling types.

unless you know exactly what you are after then make deals, buying used stuff

cause it sounds cheap is prolly a reason it is cheap.

plan out your loop. find what you need as in manufacturer and parts, then get to

shopping the right places and deals.

I have everything picked out other than pump/res.

Xspc raystorm CPU block

Monsoon free center blue fittings

Shiny black tubing

Now the xspc photon res d5 combo is now out of stock, would the one with DDC pump be fine?

Anything else good?

I live 5 min from frozen CPU, so I prefer to buy there

I still need help. None of theese options are good ATM. I need it to be able to mounted on bottom of case, or on side, without having to screw it in from the back.

And then any d5 pump would work with it?

Any good ones?

Seems like a combo would be cheaper, combo at 150$

a D5 is a D5, just with a different sticker on it. there are different D5 pumps for convenience.

standard pump

vario (variable speed 5-settings)

PWM for motherboard control

yes, that combo works well. especially in compact areas.

@Jedicake

yessir, i have two of them. great lil beast for the D5. not the biggest fan of the

pump mount, but it does work. great for "can't use a tube res" fixes.

!!! Dude it's what I use, I keep having an annoying issue where it makes like a weird fizzy/sizzly sound, is it because I need to top it COMPLETELY off to the brim?

do you have it mounted lower than the GPU? you'd wanna make sure the

system is completely bled before letting it be the lowest point of the loop.

the res is actually suppose to be the highest to catch the air, but when the

lowest, all the lil micro bubbles collect and then you get fizzy sounds.

i usually lay the rig on its back and allow the res/pump to be the highest

point and let all the air get worked out to the res and then mount it to the

bottom of the case. this makes the system hydraulic and won't allow

microbubbles to interfere with the pumping action.

This is what I'll be using but just 2 of them, it's under  $100 and normally they go for a bit over $100.

As for pumps, any D5 is fine just read reviews and oh, make sure it has an outlet port so you can drain the suckers!  I've seen pumps with just inlet and outlet but no drain port(don't get those).

This ^^^ is what I am getting for my build since its nice and slim and will fit perfectly in my case

Yeah, no cant mount that in my case, i need to mount it from the front, not from the back. Otherwise id hav to take apart my whole case.
