I don't use 8/8.1 but can you install a game and put it like a tile on that screen?

I think its linked to his Xbox live account or something thats why its showing all the games...

No, it shows as a boring icon

You can pin steam games to your start screen with nice game poster image using the app called Pin Steam which costs $1.50 in the Windows Store. I have this app myself and it works great. By default it will pull the image from the game on Steam, but you can add your own custom images. You can also add images for any short-cut in Steam.. So for non-steam games just add it as a shortcut in Steam itself, then with the Pin Steam app add it as a tile and add a custom image for it. :)
