Thermal paste quality

Go to solution Solved by Constantin,

Thank you all for ur help!

I will go for a mid range thermal paste and aply it next time i clean up my pc

it just doesnt feel right to put a 1.2 Euro Thermal paste :)

Hi all, i recently upraged my cpu cooler (Coolmaster RR-T4) and i applied  the Everecool thermal paste, one of the cheapest  in the market.

Should i go for something better, or this is fine as it is?

Thanks!

You're only looking at like a 4C max difference between that and the best stuff available.  Honestly, the stuff that coolermaster supplies with their CPU coolers might be better than the Evercool stuff.

I live in Greece and in summer the temps are kinda high.

CPU temps are ok now thought.

Things that bug me (but not enough [normally] to post ) No 453:-

"only a few degrees difference"

Order of loop ~  "only a few degrees"  (still can't see why that would matter at all).

Quality of thermal paste ~  "only a few degrees"

Diameter of WCing tube ~ "only a few degrees"

adds up after a wee while.

And yet in reviews etc cooler A gives (say)90° at full load versus cooler B giving 92°, cooler A is considered to be so much better.

Why does "a few degrees" not matter until deciding A or B.

Surely deciding between A and B (who perform at the 90 ~ 92 region) should be based on looks/cost/ease of install etc

Two motoes to live by   "Sometimes there are no shortcuts"

                                           "This too shall pass"
