Watercooling two 980's and 4790k questions.

Hi guys

I'm helping my friend out on a Streaming/Content creation pc.

He wanted to see how much it would cost him to water cool the whole thing.

We have two 980's and a i7 4790k we would like to cool. We're doing this is a NZXT H440.

I was thinking a Swiftech H220-X on the top and a Swiftech H140-X on the back.

So we're gonna connect the H220-X to the cpu block then to the H140-X on the back then to the two 980s then back to the H220-X.

Are the pumps gonna be enough to run all of this?

What are some good GPU waterblocks?

Thx for the help, Matt

not a bad idea but h440 doesn't have watercoling support but wach out if he had kraken x61 you could

Hello, Matt.

If I would do this, I'd just setup a custom loop then.

Check this out, those 2 rads should be enough for such system.

Pretty sure at that point it would just be cheaper to get a fully custom loop and by the pump / res / rad separately...

And if the pump dies, u gonna need to replace the entire AIO :D

Wouldn't it be better if u put the 240 on the 2 gpus and the 140 on the cpu?? 120mm of cooling per unit cooled?

So a 140mm rad and a 240mm rad is not enough to cool one CPU and two GPU's?

No, not enough.

Check the link I've posted above. It is wc build in this nzxt case, but you need just to add one more gpu.

Imo, it's better to take something... larger, or with more watercooling opportunities.

the minimum is 1x120 rad for one piece of hardware but i like to go 1.5x as a minimum so fans dont have to run as loud.

So for your case i would go with either 2x240mm rads or 1x120/140 at back and a 360 at the front.

Best config for a h440 is 1x240 and 1x360.
