AM3+ as a socket is dead. Period.

If AMD is going to release any performance oriented FX/Phenom style CPUs it will be on a new socket.

So basically AM3+ is dead unless you are okay running their older parts.

well right now they still have pretty good performance, i saw one day an 8320 for just 120$ on Newegg... i mean you cant deny that for the price of a core i3

But it's not for the price of a i3. It's much more expensive once you have a board and cooler.

Do you think AMD will launch a next generation of AM3+ CPU's, since they arre the go to CPU for quite a lot of budget builders, and they offer pretty good performance for the price.

no AM3+ is nearly 5 years old now and lack support for most newer technologies it's a dead platform and outside of budget workstations

the AMD FX line up won't make sense in today's market if you are gamer even on budget intel has better CPU for you a core i3-4150

for example is a 109$ cpu that perform even better than the FX-9590 when it comes to gaming for a fraction of the cost and power consumtion.

AMD are at a transition stage right now for their CPU's. they made a bad call 10 years ago to go with the bulldozer architecture. for math, encryption, database and compression the architecture was amazing. for an office computer, a cheap quad core APU is bar-none the best choice for the price, but that's FM2+ which has all the current bells and whistles. Give them a year or two to get back on track. AM3+ is only suitable for mid-range and lower, but to build an AM3+ system now is going to give you core 2 Quad levels of performance for Gaming. It's not horrible, its just outdated.
