Well for $3 more you can get a 3.8Ghz processor:

Other than that the only thing I can suggest to get more performance out of it would be an SSD (especially if you're running FTB/Technic etc)

or if you really want you could get more RAM and make use of the spare cores you have and run a Minecraft server on it

The i5-4460 is Haswell Refresh. The H81M-D Plus requires a BIOS update before it can use that cpu.

 

2x4GB or 2x8GB would allow for dual channel memory operation.

It's all good except for the case, which has USB 3.0 on the front panel I/O

You have a few options:

You could get a different motherboard that has USB 3.0

You could get a different case that has USB 2.0 ports on the front panel I/O

You could just not plug in the front panel USB headers into your board

The GPU is great, and so is everything else, you just have that incompatibility with the USB ports

i changed the case, unless theres a reson to change the motherboard to something that supports usb 3 instead.
