Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) FPS Overlay

Go to solution Solved by Timmy-P,

Can't seem to find anything... Maybe use MSI Afterburner?

Steam recently added one.

Just use something like FRAPS. Then it will be there whenever you want it.

Use fraps

Use FRAPS to record or have the FPS overlay? Because OBS will only record the game from what I've tried, it doesn't capture the FRAPS overlay.

Is there any way to get an FPS overlay in OBS videos? I finally got OBS to work properly, but the one thing that really bothers me is that I can't get an FPS overlay like other softwares.

Get a plugin, If it doesnt work make a plugin.

https://obsproject.com/forum/list/plugins.10/

Ill look for one and update this in a bit cause this might show up on google one day.

Dont every tell someone to google it BTW.

Edit: Cant find one :(

Of you don't want to pay anything, have FRAPS display the overlay and have OBS record.

OBS doesn't see the FRAPS overlay when recording.

Thanks! Turns out Afterburner also has it's own game recorder as well, and IMO it has even less of a performance hit then recording with OBS.

Yeah, I noticed that, but I opted for a more dedicated suite... is it any good?
