Hi people from the awesome community of the LTT Forums :D , here is my recently built build:

  • CPU
    Intel Core Quad Q9400
  • Motherboard
    ASUS P5G41t-M LX3
  • RAM
    4Gb Corsair Memory
  • GPU
    Sapphire R9 270
  • Case
    CoolBox F32
  • Storage
    WD 160 GB
  • PSU
    1life ps:jet 700W
  • Display(s)
    Acer AL1916W
  • Cooling
Going to buy an 80 or 90 mm fan for the rear
  • Keyboard
    Old beige stuff
  • Mouse
    Old beige stuff too
  • Sound
    Logitech 5.1 speaker set
  • What is, in your opinion, the next upgrade I should do aside from the CPU/Motherboard.  I think that a lot of things could be upgraded like an extra 4GB of RAM, an SSD for quick boot times... But what do you guys think it's a must to upgrade?

Also do you recommend any fan? 80 or 90 mm? The case has a side mount for an 80 mm fan, should I get one for it making it one at the back and one at the side?

An extra 4GB of RAM, bigger storage, and a stronger GPU, say a 280/280X. And if your case can take more fans, give them to it!

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.

The thing with the R9 280x it that my CPU will probably bottleneck it... I think... Do you think??

Yes it will bottleneck in many games, I wouldn't recommend upgrading your GPU until you get a new CPU.

R9 270 is great for 1080p, stick with it :)

I'd say storage and memory.  Storage the most.

Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.
