Posted January 15, 2015 How can I get rid of the D partion? I guess its the cache partion the HDD used when it had Windows installed on it, but Im not sure. It came when I installed Windows on my SSD. Could just remove the drive letter in computer management -> Disk management. Also, i tend to agree it's not his boot partition, but perhaps an old one, it could also be a recovery partition, or perhaps the 350 unlabeled drive is the recovery and the 100 is the boot. Also, it's showing as readable, take a look in there, my boot partition has only 1 folder, 'boot' it's using a 100mb partition and only 28.4mb of that is in use. without more info it's only guessing, but windows tends to not allocate a drive letter to your boot partition. A corrupt boot partition is relatively easy to fix with a windows install disc or stick. i would be tempted to remove it, and fix it if it breaks, just boot from install media and select recover and it will scan the discs looking for windows installs and recreate the boot partition if needs be.
