Well it seems if you can make people laugh you'll get plenty of likes.

I don't think you can change that about people.

 

I think the 'like' system is good but there should probably be another system for informative posts etc.

I've seen on other forums that have a 'respect' system.

So maybe a 'like' system for funny things you see (like on facebook), and a +1 'respect' system for someone who works hard to bring news or who helps someone out or something.

So many people write really nice articles or post really informative news. Please give those OPs a like. For example the guy who posted the "Earn money with free HDD space" Tech News. 

 

They deserve it more then the post with a random gif.

I really think this speaks to all of the one-posters in the Troubleshooting board, who come in and start a thread called "OMFG MY RIG WON'T START HELP ME PLZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111oneoneone" and don't even say thank you or "Like" your post when you go through a lot of work to help them. That's why I've slowed down my work in the Troubleshooting section. I'll keep my knowledge where it is appreciated, thank you very much.
