Windows 8.1 Problem

on my windows comp sometimes my computer freezes and there will be a black bar on the right side of my computer monitor and then my computer fans will start spinning faster and you can hear them get louder. so i dont really know why its doing that it just started yesterday

what should i check for? like check for it by opening the case or software?

Right side of your screen gets a black bar, system freezes, fan spins loudly. Check your GPU, run a GPU stress test to see how it goes. If it's new and under warranty RMA it.
