uses of the PC and currency

APU need fast RAM

and that is kinda old series

the A10-6800K will be better over the 5800K

and never heard of that PSU

get something from a reliable brand

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Get an A10 6800k.

The last gen A10-5800k is, in many benchmarks, slower than the next gen A8 7600.

Better CPU. I had the one right below that one, the A10-5700 and it bottlenecked a gtx 660. I assume because of his age that it's for gaming.

All I know is that when I used my 660 on my 5700, most games couldn't run on high without problems, switched to 4690k, and those problems went away, the only bottleneck was the 660.

970 now :D so happy

I reccommend to build it infront of him so if he wants to upgrade ,which he most likely will cause I started gaming a whole lot a few years after that age,  so he can know how.

Only get a SFX PSU if the case does not support anything else. There are good ATX powersupplies around. Size does not really equal price in terms of power supplies. Get a reputable brand and not just any old PSU. Since you do not need a ton of drives and stuff get a PSU that might be used for system builder (meaning the price sensitive market) which do not look great but are worth their salt.

Get a FM2+ board. Better Upgradeability down the line in terms of APU. You can still use a FM2 APU on a FM2+ board.

You should try to get 2400 or 2133 Mhz ram it significantly increases APU Performance in games!
