Painting cases

nekomata

My Source 210's front panel is starting to stain, so I'm gonna paint it. I don't know anyone who can do it, so I'll probably gonna do it myself. The front panel is plastic. I have no prior experience in painting anything so I don't really know what to do. Do I need to use certain kinds of paint? What should I do once I paint it?

  • Rough it up, using light sand paper

Prime it, primer is cheap on Amazon

Pick your colour of spray paint and give it a good few coats

Voilá

Compatible with Windows 95

Voilà indeed, i did my complete desk the same way (primer came from local DIY-store, but that doesn't make a difference :D). You can maybe also use just wall paint, but it's a case and plastic so spray can is indeed probably a better option.

You can maybe do it 2-tone?

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

Also make sure to put on your coats SPARINGLY. Don't cake the paint on. A lot of light coats is better than a few heavy coatings. Heavy sprays result in dripping paint spots or uneven paint on the surfaces.

  1. Super clean it
  2. Primer coat
  3. Spray paint that is for PLASTIC* or what other material it is from

I was planning to make it borderland-ish, but maybe I'm hoping too much
