It seems M.2 is all the talk as of late; it's smaller therefore requires little room and is available in high capacities too. It also doesn't require a bulky connector.

sata express is already implemented...just look at all the motherboards with it

I haven't really seen anything about sata express since june other than a hyrbid drive and some motherboards at ces. Is the industry leaning toward m.2 or is the implementation of sata express just not ready yet?

 

SATA Express will come out, but it's gonna take a long time before anything really happens with it. Kinda like SATA 1 on my old Dell mobo from 2003. It wasn't mainstream for another 2 or 3 years, but it eventually came out.
