ATH-M50's are the best headphones I have ever owned, I know there are better ones but still.  I like the feeling of being shut out form the outside world and having audio being in my head and not my ears, and i find them better at directional audio reproduction.  But i still do love my Koss PortaPro's just not nearly as much.

People buy closed headphones because their listening environment is bad, not because they like the sound of closed headphones.  :P

I want some open earbuds.....

Closed for listening to music in public and open for listening at home.

my open cans are awesome for the house but they are not very portable and because they are open they arent public friendly, but i highly prefer them over closed

I like open headphones, Ive used my Pioneer HD2000's for a few years, gaming and music. They sound nice but not as good as my new Beyerdynamic DT 990's. They sound much more open en crisp, also the bigger cups are very nice. So for me open headphones all the way, unless youre out in public.
