Question about ubuntu/linux/IOS

Hello!.

 

is it pretty straightforward to install any of these OS on a ACER laptop?.

any hints or tips i might need for my journey ?

So... how do you plan to install an ARM os in x86 platform?

wouldnt it be a hackintosh ?.. im pretty fucking sure u  can have IOS on a PC

well if its a windows 8 laptop ur gonna have a bit of a hard time because of the whole secure boot UEFI thing

but it is possible

hackintosh is OSX on a pc not IOS :P

Sorry to inform you, but it's not possible to run iOS, which is an ARM operating system used for iPhones. If you were thinking of Mac OSX, then yes, it's possible.

iOS is for mobile devices like iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches. Mac OS X is for Apple's Mac computers.

You can install ubuntu or other linux distros...

 

that's what I was asking you -.-

iOS is for mobiles... I think you mean OSX...

my bad iment OSX... dude how can i know apple lingo haha

You can install any linux distribution you might want, no problem. Just get a live cd image, burn it, and follow the on-screen instructions. It's really easy. OSX can be a hassle to setup on something that is not a mac though, honestly there's no point in even trying if all you want is getting rid of windows. Linux ftw.
