Posted January 10, 2015 Hi, i edit videos, quite alot actually.And i'm running windows 7 right now, so i wanted to know if it was worth upgrading to windows 8 because it's got better performance. I wouldn't say my video editing is the most demanding, i just take footage and add some effects and time remapping in after effects. Here are my specs incase you need them: Intel core i5-4430 16GB corsair vengeance LP ram asus GTX 760 Samsung 840 series 120GB SSD (I'm a complete noob at hardware stuff, so please don't throw that at me.) Posted January 10, 2015 You really wont see much of a performance benefit. The only performance gains seen is via synthetics. Posted January 10, 2015 I'd just stick with windows 7 as @Opcode said. From my understanding windows 10 is what windows 8 should have been (the same as windows 7 is what vista should have been).
