Music Production Headphones

Caleb SF

So i recently acquired FL Studio 11. I wanted to get into making some music on my downtime, but i wanted to do it right. Currently I own Razer Blackshark's, and theyre nice for gaming, but bad for anything video... I have my default volume on the mixer down to 20 and some applications down to 5, yet things are still loud.

I was looking at Audio Technica, I feel like they have a good hold on their quality. The ATH-M30X, the M50's are a little too much for light music making.

Any suggestions?

Maybe some Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, or if you fancy, the California Headphone Company.

You need flat, revealing headphones for music editing.

Edit: You should consider speakers if you want to do it completely right.

What price are you aiming at?

I suggest you get a nice pair of flat open headphones.

under $100, but I cant find many that are open.

I don't care for other people hearing what I'm doing. I wouldn't bother with them.
