7970 is still a great card considering it's basically a 280X.

it is a 7770

it play games 1080p medium at 60 fps well enough, at lower resolution it is amazing

Can get noisy (I have the sapphire version)

works perfectly with multi displays

no idea of pricing, but if it is cheap and you are looking for a budget GPU, this is a good option!

If it goes below $75, it's an amazing deal.

One of my friends purchased this, replacing his GT 430 GPU. He was surprised by the fact that Gmod got 60FPS at 1080p even with mass explosions and shit. He did, however, have a core i5 3570k. But coming from a 430 to a 7770 is a pretty huge upgrade.

I actually used to have this exact card, and it served me well for about a year before I had an influx of cash and splurged on the then-new gtx 760.  This is very good for a budget build and runs minecraft at about 200 fps paired with a phenom II X4 965.  It can run battlefield 3, maxed out at 1080p with playable 40-60 fps, sometimes dropping with explosions.

How is this a steal? Same price get something literally twice as powerful.

I paid 100$ for a 7950. 30$ for 2.5x the performance? Hell yeah
