So My Computer Has Very High Idle Temps 50 For CPU Normally And So I Think A New Case Would Be Worth It (My Computer Is A Dell XPS 8500 Wit hA R9 270 And I7 3770) But My Dad Says Just Get A New Fan, What Should I Do. Also My Case Has A Lot Of Dust On The Bottom,The PCB Of My 270 And On The CPU Cooler. Should I Clean It

Im sorry its just natural but back to my main question, should i just buy a different fan or a new case

I'd clean it first as that's the cheapest option.

 

Just taking a look at that Dell and i have to say the case doesn't look great for airflow so yeah a new case will probably be better.

First Clean The Case Then See Your Temps If That Doesn't Help Try Repasting The Cpu

And if that doesnt work, and your case is really old your case might need a shot in the arm and get a new one. I reccomend Haf922 it comes with 3 fans and my idle temps stay around 30-35 degrees all the time.

I actually rather enjoy stripping the cpu apart and cleaning the fans.. its really satisfying.
