OP asked about what we think about the card, not what we know. So here's what I expect. About same performance as the 770, 2GB (maybe oem eventually do 3-4gb versions but not for now), between 200-250 $, a 960 Ti will probably be available to fit between  960 and 970, will probably make prices drop slightly but the big drop should come when the AMD 3xx are released.

I think if the other 2 cards are any indication of price to performance. it will be slightly more expensive than the gtx 760 with the performance of the 770 plus 4gb of vram while using far less power and outputting significantly less heat.

Wait and see like we all will have to do until January 22nd. Then the card will be revealed and they will hit the market. I´m hoping that some people buy them soon and submit some 3D Mark results.

Personal thoughts about the GTX960? I´d never buy something like that, not enough power.

GTX 960 will be around same performance as GTX 770 probably. If u OC it to max u could achieve a GTX 970 stock preformence..

We don´t know yet but if I had to guess I would really doubt that. Maybe with LN2...

why woudl u doubt that?

Have not you seen the pattern?

GTX 980 = New preformence beast

GTX 970= GTX 780/GTX 780 ti

GTX 960= GTX 770?

GTX 950= lolno

First of all sure I saw the numbers. And until we see this card hitting the market and getting hard facts this is just bare speculation.

And to see this from the right perspective regarding your 'data'. Do you know how far a GTX770, which is basically a beefed up GTX680 with a GK104 chip, is away from a GTX780Ti with its fully unlocked GK110?

The GTX960 will come with the GM206 chip with 128bit memory interface and 2 GB GDDR5 VRAM. The GM206 and GM204 will have the same L2 cache so the GTX970 will have in every way a way better interface and way more bandwith. Also much more raw computing power. Therefore I doubt that you will be able to get close to the GTX970 performance with an overclocked GTX960 if the scaling is the same from a GTX770 to a GTX780Ti.

It is just speculation. But I agree with your point there

GTX 960 seems to be a underpowered card if u look at the vram amount

ang gtx 970/980 is almost the same

I think he was disagreeing with your assumption that it can be overclocked to perform similarly to the stock 970.

I don't think there's much room to disagree that it will perform similarly to the GTX 770 at a lower price and with better power efficiency, as that's the logical next step. New x60 SKU's generally supplant previous x70's. But that would make the 960 at least ~30% slower than a stock 970. You probably will not be able to bridge such a gap with an overclock.
