Are you planning on adding a monitor?

Because the ASUS PB238Q is a great monitor and a cheap buy at less than $200.

See here —> http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-pb238q

@ColeTrainX

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

its a good build but drop the H100i and opt for an air cooler

the cooler is nothing but trouble with mounting issues, pump failure and Corsair Link software issues

If you're not going to be doing great amounts of multitasking or other things like rendering, you might consider getting an i5-4690k, and then use the money saved from that to get a 780ti (faster but about 100$ more)

@Geekazoid: I already have a 27" monitor, but I will be adding this to my wish list for the future. THANK YOU!

@Atmos: I am going to be streaming with this build, so the i7 is preferred.

@dragoon20005: Also, I plan on Overclocking my CPU so water cooling is necessary, what would you recommend since you do not like the Corsair one?

Gotta say what yer planning in yer original post to help clarify things matey. Stuff like "im doing mostly gaming" "im steaming" or "im doing video editing" all those are quite valuable in determining a use for a rig :3

@Atmos: I apologize, I'm quite new at this whole thing! Thank you for the tips though. :)

ANOTHER UPDATE:

I plan to game and stream with this build. I was also attempting to keep to a strict Corsair/MSI and Red/Black build.

perfect info there mate, can go a long way to help people figure out what might be better. And if it comes down to it and the GPU you want has a different colored shroud than what you're planning on building, you can always check out linus' vid on how to repaint cpu cooler shrouds to make them more pretty. Tek Syndicate also did a good job in showing how you can do that as well w/ slightly different finer paint.

@Atmos: My GPU is red and black I thought.

That it is, at least there might be others out there w/ slightly better performance, not sure on pricing though as the higher end models can get more expensive.

@Atmos: That may be true, this one was highly recommended though for the price and performance.
