I am thinking of getting one of those 1440p Korean monitors but can only afford a 960 (22 Jan :)

would a GTX 960 (performance of 770) handle a 1440p?

 

if not could i scale games down 10 1080p on a 1440p monitor

The 770 does pretty decently at 1440p so the 960 would probably be fine considering newer cards are being made with higher resolutions in mind. Just don't expect to be able to play everything at high settings.

I have a GTX 770 and it does a great job at 1080p. Assuming the 960 will have the power of a 770, if you lower the settings, it should be fine, but don't expect to have great graphics and 60fps everytime. This depends on the games you play.
