Is this build solid enough for 1080p? I won't be playing any heavy games like Battlefield. I'm from the UK and the budget is 500 but I managed to make me it even cheaper. Do you have any other strong GPU instead of the r9 270? (I don't really care about the r9 270x, that card is non existant to me) I will also be using the corsair Spec-01 but for some reason I couldn't find it on partpicker..lol

I suggest you look into the latest Pentium's benchmarks then in gaming it actually stands pretty well in the charts. When overclocked it runs even better.

However I would look into the AMD side at this budget unless you can drop the expensive stuff.

Exactly, I've been looking like crazy for ''g3258 fps videos'' and the i5 4690k or i7 4790k doesn't really impress me for the things I DO. The heaviest game I could be playing is Diablo 3 so yea..I think I'll be just fine with the g3258

I'm not a maniac fps, I won't spend 100 more for some FPS increase and 4 cores. I'm pretty sure I will be just fine with a 2 core g3258

The real question is how long can you play with that thing, also if you overclock the shit out of it you have to buy a good cooler and you aren't helping the lifespan, would go with AMD for budget. But just my opinion

I was going to go with the x4 860k but then changed my mind to the g3258.

Yeah it will probably work just fine but in my opinion you should buy a good thing once and then use that CPU for min 5 years

what would you suggest?

with the pentium you at least have a nice upgrade path.

Havent looked into the AMD side too far but I just think its not the best idea to buy something if you already know you gonna upgrade that in a year or so

I will upgrade in a year or so for sure to a better CPU motherboard, I just need a ''temporary'' good 1080 system, and I think the one I made with the g3258 works just fine eh?

yes, it will be just fine.

if you can go amd for the same price, that is probably worth it as well.

depends on your preference.
