There should be a way to separate two fight prone users, kinda like a time out, without outright banning them.

This would be useful in the case of two users who on their own are perfectly acceptable beings, often quite helpful to the OP, but when put in the same thread, all out war ensues. (I'm not tagging him, but you all know who...)

 

Imagine if you could prevent two users from seeing eachother's posts.

 

This would solve so many flame wars.

You wouldn't need to program it in, if the mods get called to a thread, notice a fight, they separate the participants.

 

Basically a "Break up fight" button.
