Intel i3 or i5?

So Im looking to build a pretty solid Gaming PC that every one in a while will be able to handle some video/photo editing. And the two processors Im debating with are the 1) 

Intel Core i3-4160 Haswell Dual-Core

and 2) 

Intel Core i5-4440 Haswell Quad-Core

Now there's a price difference of 65$ and I was just wondering if its worth it to go with the i5, or for what I want to do with my pc will be just fine saving the money and going with the i3? I hope someone can answer me, and thanks for reading!

I would go with the i5, it'll perform better in every scenario and allow you to add very high end cards in the future without the risk of a bottleneck.

i3 is fine, i5 is better especially for video editing.

Assuming the $65 saved from buying a i3 would be dumped into a better Graphics card, it would still preform worse in most scenarios compared to an i5 with a slightly worse GPU. Especially since this build is going to be used for video/image editing. Considering you are debating on an i3 or an i5, I would not recommend getting an i7 at all.

The i5-4440 at $169 from NCIXUS is probably the best bang for your buck CPU out there right now. With the best i3-4160 price being $112 from SuperBiiz, I think it's a no-brainer to spend the extra $57 to get the much better CPU, even if it comes out of your graphics card budget.
