I have the linksys wrt1900ac, there was a new firmware released awhile ago so maybe update?

Try making sure internet works when plugging directly into the modem if not it's the modem not the router.

Hi. I recently purchased the Linksys WRT1900AC and it doesn't seem to work. I have 2 internet providers at the moment. We were going to switch right away, but decided to make sure everything works on the new network before switching. Anyways, the router DOES NOT work on the new internet. All the lights come on, but the internet light, it remains orange. I've tried plugging right into the new modem, and i get internet perfectly fine. 

 

I set up the router, so that it works on the old internet and thats how i can post this, but now i need to set it up on the new one and need help. Once again, everything works except the internet coming through...

Did you plug the WRT into the modem by going from a LAN port on the modem to the INTERNET port on the WRT?

I plugged the wrt straight into the modem. Just one spot for an ethernet cable. And into the internet port on the wrt. 

Hm then im not sure what is wrong... :(
