Today NVIDIA announced that Shield will drop to 299, they've heard the community!! :)

...We’ve heard from thousands of gamers that if the price was $299, we’d have a home run.

So we’re changing the price of SHIELD to $299.

If you’ve already pre-ordered SHIELD, you’ll be charged the new, lower price. You will only be charged $299 when the product ships.

This is huge, at least for me.... Will probably get one with this price. The interesting thing is that they will update prices to previous pre-orders!

Also, they have confirmed a date:

The result: while SHIELD isn’t available until June 27th – we’re making that official today – it’s already grabbed awards by the fistful – including dozens of ‘Best of Show’ awards at CES, Computex and E3.

That's pretty close from now.

What do you guys think?

Nope. Doesn't support mobile cards at its current iteration. Once it does though I'm hopping on board. But a price reduction is always nice. What was the old price $350?

It is $50 less than before so if I do my maths correctly it was 350, correct!

If I had a Geforce graphics card I would defiantly get one. Unfortunately I don't have enough money to upgrade.

For someone who already has a gaming pc, I have no need to buy this. However someone who has no gaming hardware and wants to get into gaming, it seems like a great choice.

But It's useless if you dont have a gaming rig?

Stuff I have I like: Moto G - Superlux HD681 Evo - Monoprice 9927

90% of what I say is sarcasm.
