Neato, it's an interesting device, I just don't see a usage case for it.

You can play your PC games at home on it, but I have my PC at home....

And you can play android games on the go, but I have an android phone for that.

So it's just $300 for a slightly different way of doing things that I can already do.

Considering it's Wi-Fi only, and I'm not even sure that it can be used outside of the network your computer is on, I don't really see the point. I'd rather grab Kainy for the remote gaming and one of those mixed Bluetooth controller/phone stand things that basically turns your phone into a Shield.

That said, I don't think it's overpriced now or even was before. I mean, it's the same price as the Nexus 4 (which always gets glowing praise for being a tremendous value) and has pretty much the same specs (minus cellular and 3G, plus what looks like a pretty decent controller). I mean, if you already have a good smartphone there's really not much point, but in theory people might exist who would rather have this and a basic phone. Actually, phrasing it like that makes it sound like a pretty good deal.

I really don't mind the pricing, even before the price cut. The problem is finding any use for it.

Why not just get a Vita? Or... 3DS -.-

Prerelease dollar specs might as well be gibberish, I don't care until I get a price in NOK or Euro, directly converted it should be 1600 NOK or around there, but we all know they'll jack it up in Europe, in which case the pain threshold where this becomes unfeasible for it's value is 2000 NOK, any more than that and it'll be a wet turd. Or €250.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Also, considering the Shield essentially becomes a paper weight if you want to upgrade to an AMD card. Narh thanks.

You gotta ask yourself: "What did they possibly remove or scaled down to lower the price?"
