Posted December 27, 2014 We were driving down the road and I had my retainer on my lap and then we saw a van flip and jumped out to help and it feel out did not remeber for a few hours. So with the blowing snow and such no chance of finding it. Anyone know if my teeth will start to turn right away? (Can not get a new one for atleast 6-10 days) Is there anything I can do should I be worried? (Kinda fliping out) Hoping I am all good but I have no idea. Calm down people this is off topic. Posted December 27, 2014 shell out the money for new ones, if you dont have money hope you were smart enough to get insurance for them. your teeth will move pretty fast actually once you dont have them in. you can buy the cheap plastic type ones if money is an issue and you need to save up for the good ones. Some people use the cheap plastic types forever and just replace them every couple years. it costs more in the long-run of course but cheaper upfront costs is better for some people. Posted December 27, 2014 Will be getting one as soon as possible. But in the mean time will it be okay? with in a few days you can start to see a small gap in some teeth. really depends on the person. if with in a couple weeks you can put get new ones and put them in they will just feel extra tight and the gap or two that you have will close. teeth move freaking fast man. You may get lucky and nothing will move but they sure as hell will move if you wait to long. The time period you said you had to wait for new ones is certainly not what I would consider long. you will be fine.
 Posted December 27, 2014 And it was to fix my bite not to stragten my teeth. Same here. In the beginning (first 1-2 months) you are urged to wear them 8 hrs a day (at least i was) however i found that wearing them every 3rd day for 20 mins before sleeping was enough. However if you are still in the "first stage (aka in the first 1-2 months)" then more than a week can alter your teeth quite permanently. It happened with me. I didn't wear them for about 8 days and then i found that i couldn't fit them in properly (the top one) so i had to get it reshaped a little.
