Is this RAM compatible

Hey guys

 

I don't know a lot about RAM and buying the right RAM for my system. I currently have 4GB of 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM. My motherboard only supports 1066 and 1333Mhz RAM so I'm wondering if it will downclock the RAM speed if I get 1600Mhz RAM. Also, Does the CAS Latency matter when buying RAM?

 

Here are my specs:

CPU: i5-2320
GPU: Sapphire HD 7950 3GB
RAM: 4GB
Motherboard: MS-7728 (It's from a prebuilt Medion PC)
PSU: XFX Pro 550W

Yes CAS timings matter, but unless you are doing professional work like video editing or 3d rendering you will not notice any difference.

Actually the hyperx AUTO OC it self to the advertised speed.

it automatically overclocks within the system speed allowance without any manual BIOS tuning

aka it will only run at 1333 because thats what the motherboard supports.

 

also since hes pairing it with another ram kit it will be PHYSICALLY limited to the speed of the slower ram.

Will I'm confused with the Gigabyte H81M-S2PH it Auto OC to 1600Mhz how would that work ?
