How did my SSD jump from 190 GB to 176 GB in less than a day?

My SSD jumped from 190 GB to 176 GB in less than a day. I did not install any programs onto my SSD that day, nor did I download anything. Does anyone know what happened? Also, does anyone know of more "secret" directory? By secret I mean for example AppData. You don't see it when you click C:, but when you search for it, its there.

Use spacesniffer. Most probably some temp and cache files.

Run CCleaner. Or search the drive with a blank query and filter to most recent

But when I use windows disk cleanup, it says I can opnly clean up 1.90GB or something, and I checked every single check box.

Also, when I select all the files in C: and right-click and click properties, it shows that all the files combined only takes up 23GB. but when I rightclick the drive, it says I have used 60 GB.

How much ram do you have?

 

You'll be using some on your hibernation file as well as some on your page file.

your hibernation file will be the size of your ram and by default so is the page file.

 

so for 4 gb ram expect to lose 8gb drive space, for 8 gb expect to lose 16 ... you get the idea

I ran it. It cleared like half a GB or something

Have you checked your Windows restore points? Those can quickly add up to tens of GBs.
