So MSI can dignify the R9 290X with a backplate but not my 970? I see how it is...

bear in mind that it was THE r9 290X when it was made, it is made for serious OC on NO2, many voltage points....

but yeah, you got a point

i would still get a 970

Honestly I wouldn't, and I may fanboy NVIDIA a little more than I should.

These are lightning cards so balls to the walls overclocks are guaranteed. These are lightning cards so bad ass coolers. The 290X is better at 1440p and 4K than the 970, plus overclocking potential. A GTX 980 might be better but for the price you'd pay, you're only $50 away from the 290X in crossfire.

These are ballin' cards.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

ok, I'll try to do some testing when they get here :) There will definitely be some bottleneck, though.

I would definitely get this, but it requires 3 power connectors, I only have two :(

It only requires two 8 pins, the third is optional

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it
