AC: U Patch Makes Game Crash on Startup

I've seen other people having a similar issue where it freezes, stops responding, or crashes before even getting to the start screen. It gets past the first few screens but never makes it any further. This patch made a 'barely working game' a 'not working AT ALL game'

If you are using a Nvidia card try the beta drivers (347.09). They work for me and gave me also slight performance boost.
