recently i was hung up on 5 times by a customer service rep called "Ruthie". she was constantly sarcastic and demeaning, not to mention constantly got my order number wrong. when i politely asked to speak to her supervisor she responded with "i am the supervisor" and she disconnected the call. i was constantly connected to her, and the minute she would hear my voice she disconnected the phone. i had to call the rma department in which i was finally given support.... by being transferred to the canadian customer support manager.

unfortunately after i was finally given care my phone died on me, but i wanted to send both a warning to anyone calling us customer support, and to send a huge thank you to "harley" at the canadian support department.

and to the bitch i kept getting connected to, i hope you get fired.

Thanks for the heads up, although I don't see how it's a warning.  :P

Probably when you are connected to her just hang up.

But it could be another innocent employee with the same name.  :o We'd probably know if the conversation wasn't going anywhere anyway. So far NCIX has had decent customer support for me.

Ruthie is quite a unique name, I doubt many people have the same name.

That is bad to hear. You should try to talk to the manager to get this problem resolved and to let the manager talk to that person about this.

exactly. she CLAIMED to be a manager, but when i was connected with the real manager he said she was only an associate. she has no actual managerial position at all. she LIED.

unfortunately i keep getting connected to her. my phone died when the issue was actually getting resolved, so if anyone can find out the exact number to harley at ncix canada that would be amazing. i would like to thank him for his support as well as his assistance in getting my order fixed (though a week and a half old non shipped order is absurd.

Another warning for NCIX.  If you have fraud prevention on your CC, they will flag every transaction as fraud and freeze the purchase because NCIX is located in Canada headquarters wise.

Wow do they not have a QA system on their CSRs?  I worked tech support once and if you actually were the one to disconnect the call with a customer the call was flagged by the system.  Disconnecting multiple calls like that should have been a big warning flag to their QA system.

+1 for harley. all he's dealt with all my dumbass inquiries and ordering mistakes via NCIX and direct canada.

fuck yeah. Harley was straight up the shit man. he was like lightning with how quick he helped. he even helped me out when i was having out of stock issues with a few items. i got a discount and the items transferred from ca to na.

Seems like Ruthie is a bit*h and Harley is a good guy, good job Harley :) .

i don't think they do. because there were multiple disconnects which started to piss me the fuck off. if i did that to one of my clients i hope i'd go out of business. even with rude clients you don't just hang up the phone.

That sucks.

I've had a few run ins with NCIX Canada support (usually use the call back feature) and I have always gotten great support.

That is crazy.  They are big enough they need to have a QA system implemented tracking calls,  call duration,  who disengaged from the call (always let the customer hang up) as well as random recordings of your reps calls for QA purposes.  NCIX is a decent sized company at this point I would have assumed something like this was in place already.

There's probably an actual reporting system (I know I've gotten automated e-mails when I use Customer support about "Please rate our service" and such, though I've never dealt with NCIX) but thanks for the heads-up I guess.

If you're looking to vent you could try posting a more specific story to notalwaysright.com, most of their stories are about bad customers but I've seen the occasional bad service before.

This shouldn't mean don't order from NCIX they have some really great deals. Just hopefully you don't have to call Support and if you do hopefully you don't get this Ruthie person.

NCIX charges a decent bit in the US for shipping which often outweighs the discounts.  Although on occasion I've ordered a few things from there, always flagged as fraud because NCIX is based in CA.
