1680x1050 vs 1920x1080

Cs342

I'm still using a 1680x1050 monitor that I've had for many years now. Will I notice a difference going to 1080p or is the increase in resolution too small to justify an upgrade?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Defiantly, everyone should have atleast a 1920x1080p monitor or higher.

For experience it depends if u get an IPS or not.

As for pixel count, not much difference.

I jumped from 1280x1024, thats 700px longer space. U getting 300px. But if u want new monitor then buy 1080p and u can have 2 monitors (best sollution :P )

I get OCD when people type 'defiantly' instead of 'definitely', dunno if it's a mistype or on purpose. But anyway, I totally agree with you, 1080p is now like the minimum standard screen resolution especially for gaming.

If you're planning to buy a monitor, get 1080p atleast!

Are you guys telling me to get it simply because 1080p is the current standard or because I'll actually see a difference in visual quality coming from 1050p? I don't know much about monitors but a 30p increase doesn't seem that significant to me. I could be wrong though :)

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Both--plus you can probably get a better panel due to the large selection for 1080p.

It's an increase of 30 pixels in vertical resolution and 240 pixels in horizontal.
