Agreed :) It could be done by using a cheaper Mobo and a case, but i wanted to use a nice looking mobo (we seriously need more black, cheaper, ones :D), and i try not to change the case choice in most builds (unless the case is expensive, and they cheap out on other parts...), since maybe his friend chose it, and i don't want to judge his sense of beauty :)

You have an unlocked processor with an H97 motherboard.

The RAM is overpriced.

Get a different SSD with synchronous NAND and you'll be good. Sandisk's Ultra Plus or Crucial's MX100 are solid.

Also, get an R9 290 for 270 bucks.

Do something like this.
Dont get the V300.. I don't like Kingston after what they did with the switch and all. If you want a cheap 128, get an ARC100 or SP610.
That Asrock Mobo is overkill IMO. Save some money and go with a Gaming 5 or Z97-A. Or an MSI z97 mate if you want to save even more.
IDK why you want that case....
I left the GPU up to you. You can save some money and go with a 290, or go 970, which would only be ~$100 over budget (less if you get a different Mobo).

Get a cheaper motherboard.

Go with the Neutron GTX SSD. It's the same price.

As others have said, upgrade to an R9 290. If you need to justify the $250 price, it comes with 3 free games.

Problem?

Only issue is 5400RPM HDD, crossfired 290's for 1100 is a steal.

Not sure that case has enough cooling for dual R9 290s. Maybe the NZXT S340 with two extra 140mm front intake fans would work though (it only has top and back exhausts preinstalled).

Get a cheaper motherboard.

Go with the Neutron GTX SSD. It's the same price.

As others have said, upgrade to an R9 290. If you need to justify the $250 price, it comes with 3 free games.

Uhhh....why did you downgrade the video card so much and then waste money on fans?
