Can we hope this will be the best windows ever?

With the proactive feedback loops they have in place for this beta, it should be received well by the consumer base when the OS goes RTM. It seems that they have realised that even though they have the marketing muscle, if their product (i.e. W8) is not of substance then it will face backlash - good see that they are listening to users.

 

One thing I wish to see is more separation between the whole start/touch UI and the desktop experience. I feel that in W8.1 this is still blurred and it's kind of annoying for desktop users.
