So...I am reading all of these people putting 1.3 to 1.4 volts into these haswell e processors and being stable.

I have a kracken x61 running at normal temps that average anywhere from 29c to 32c under idle and 60 to 65 under load at 1.19 volts 4.2 ghz oc.

I really want to push for 4.4 or 4.5

You most likely get tired of hearing this by now but is it safe from a life span point of view?

yup

as long as the temps are within reason (below 85C) your CPU will last 10+ years easily

yup

Just asking because this is my first propper oc. I did another one but my i7 920 didn't handle much over 1.25 very well.

probably but you know that HIS CPU is hotter then the programs show it. the cooler only catches up the cooled temp. what is coming from the the CPU cores is maybe 5-6 celcius hotter.

Btw OP. it is not the volts who kills your CPU. it the temps. you can have 1.9 volts at low temp and it would be fine. but expect 300 celcius on idle:D
