I've always deal with computer problems by straight up unplugging the cable, lft my computer onto my bed and opening it up to fix it. All with my bare hands and I don't think I've ever had any problems.

I like it but as @felixbearpig says it might not be totally for me, but what if I attach it to my ankle? If at least to reduce the winter time shocks.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.

Yeah I saw this, I don't think it would work though, how is all the static energy grounded?

look what I found on wikipedia:

"Wireless" or "dissipative" wrist straps are available, which claim to protect against ESD without needing a ground wire, typically by air ionization or corona discharge. These are widely regarded as ineffective,[1][2][3] if not fraudulent, and examples have been tested and shown not to work.[4][5] Professional ESD standards all require wired wrist straps.[1]

I will just continue touch the power supply before touching things, in the future.

and i dont believe one can dissipate static wirelessly ... you need to move of the extra electrons somewhere and nothing works better than a wire and the planet earth

I too like to live dangerously..

I lied, I do this barefoot.  To be honest having built/worked with over 250 PC's in recent years, haven't zapped a board yet.
