Did you steal Linus' lambo... :P

Seriously, that has got to be one of the most beautiful builds I have ever seen.

Just one question - what are temps like in the case as I know that case has thermal problems

Finally cabled into desk ..all tidy, temps are a little high, Asus fan xpert keeps turning the fans off... you can just make out coming out of the top of the case is black cable sleeve holding all the cables linking the PC to the cable tray inside the desk

Found a flaw in my design, the intake fan is located at the bottom of the case, and next to this is the fan for the PSU - the air is coming in and straight back out via the PSU so not reaching the top of the case, temps slowly climb. So constructing a baffled intake and relocating the main fan at inside the case.

Hopefully this will lower temp but also lower the noise from the 140mm intake. Now I've changed the XMP mapping the RAM is clocked at 3876 from stock 2666 which probably isn't helping temps.

rough plan for a baffled air intake to hopefully direct airflow better and reduce the small amount of noise from the 140mm intake on the case, comments / ideas most welcome..

Air enters at the bottom goes around a section which is covered in 3mm soundproofing material, entire box is covered in 3mm too, going to make the box from acrylic cut and glued but once covered in the black soundproof material will blend into the case

First custom build, always wanted a stylish, quiet PC. Modified the case, removed the HDD bay, larger holes for water cooling, various layers of soundproofing material, very very quiet when the fans are set to the correct speed, just need to figure out why Asus Xpert 3 doesn't remember the settings. No internal HDD, just the 512GB M.2 SSD. Will update when cabled into the desk and connected to monitors.

Asus x99 Deluxe

Intel 5930K

Asus GTX 980 - connects to 2 apple displayport monitors and LG 32 inch widescreen - painted white LED green removed using Dremel sanding disk - good clean result.

Noctua fans (painted matt black), used for case and rad

Corsair Dom Plat 32GB (8x4) 2666MHz - with lightbar and painted gloss white

Samsung XP941 512GB

Asus Thunderbolt Card - connected to Lacie thunderbolt RAID

Corsair H80i - mounting painted white, one of the quiet H80, I have another that makes an audible hum

Cooler Master V850 modular - was small enough to fit in case by millimetres

That is the most beautiful build that there has ever been in the history of the world.

Main PC: 4690k, LMG Edition G1 Gaming GTX 980, 16GB Hyper X Fury, Asus Z97-A, EVGA G2 850W, Crucial MX100 128GB, WD Red 1TB 2.5", Dark Rock 3

Laptop: Asus UX305 Monitor: Asus PB278Q Keyboard: Filco Majestouch 2 TKL Mouse: Corsair M65

I'm just starting the second build using the same case but old parts, so won't look so good, but also adding a baffled air intake, will post photos of inner case / outer shell, but learning from the other build will hopefully fit the soundproofing in a cleaner way.

That is a really good looking computer, its just sad that they never made an option to get that case in full tower, else i'd totally drop the 750D and get that one instead.

Some photos of the empty case for the second build ... the inner case is attached via several small screws and comes out easily, I've removed the HDD bay, and on this case because the PSU was too long for the case modified the back so the PSU sticks out a little but once the glass panels are in place you can't see this. This isn't finished yet, going to replace the RAM but not decided about final fan placement.

Back to my original build, I've added 2 fans to try and lower the temps, just need to add a side piece of soundproofing to the side. Both of the new 120mm fans are running at 950 rpm. temps are lower but still a little high at idle CPU is 45, VRM 60 C

I did test a fan blowing directly at the CPU/VRM and temps dropped to 38 and 50 respectively

I'm starting to think X99 boards run hotter, also takes longer to boot that my Asus Z79 Deluxe

The Inwin 904 is such a beautiful case, I'm waiting for some more info on the 904+ since I'm genuinely considering it for my next build which will involve a small amount of modding.

Push-To-Talk is a wonderful thing.
