Question about "Likes"

I've got a question.

 

Lets say that, for instance, I post something funny in a Baba Ji spam thread, and get 3 likes for that. Then, of course, a moderator comes along and deletes the thread. Do the three likes stay in the likes counter or are they subtracted?

I know that my post count has sometimes been funky when threads have been tossed around so I would assume that likes are similarly affected.

Yeah, likes get removed too, they're not on valid posts

I think they get removed. Which is probably why I don't have at least 10,000 likes.

Actually, here's what happens.

 

1. You post in the spam thread.

2. You get a lot of likes.

3. Mod comes by and deletes thread.

 

Actually, what happens, is that the mod can still see the thread and not members, so technically the thread still exists. Therefore you still have those likes.

Actually, what happens, is that the mod can still see the thread and not members, so technically the thread still exists. Therefore you still have those likes.

If that's the case, then it's just down to weather the a post was deleted (lost likes) or the thread was deleted (lost likes) or the thread was archived (possibility of likes being kept)

The archive subforum is likely to have some settings that don't count likes or post count for any posts within in (similarly to post count in off topic)
