My first PC Build (:

S1L3nT

cool but as I said that I've got the 3TB HDD already means that I don't need 1TB one(-69$) so, http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/

would be better I think. I checked benchmarks of gtx 670 and 770 and the difference worth the +40$

well A.I made that list prior to you telling me that lol.

B.I didn't understand that you already had the HDD,thought you meant that you forgot to link it.

C.I was trying to constrain it to <$1300 so I went with the 670.

My Amazon shopping card hits 1400$ with shipping. I will update it to lower the price a lil. here are the screens

did you buy two sets of 16GB memory or is that just weird scrolling?

For the CPU cooler you can just get a Hyper 212 for now. Or fi you want to spend more you can get this: http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Cooling-Heatsink-Radiator/dp/B00B20OYUY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1371435005&sr=8-5&keywords=heatsink+1150

Or a Noctua NH-D14

You can get a cheaper PSU to save a bit of money. Corsair CX600 or OCZ MODX 600W are good choices.

Only other way to save money is to either ditch the SSD or get a cheaper GPU.

CPU: AMD 3950x Mobo: MSI B550 RAM: 32GB DDR4 GPU: Asus 3080 Strix PSU: Superflower Leadex 3 720w Case: BeQuiet 500DX

Storage: 2TB SSD + 4TB HDD Audio: SMSL 793ii -> HiFiman HE-400 + Mission MS-50 Speakers

Yeah I'd go for CX600. 40$ cheaper and it's the price of Hyper 212. But I have no idea why http://www.amazon.com/G-SKILL-Ripjaws-240-Pin-Desktop-F3-1866C9D-16GXM/dp/B008Y6T9MM/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1371435533&sr=8-4&keywords=g.skill+16gb+1866

 cost 105$ it's 1866mhz whereas http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006EWUO22/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

126,98$ 1600mhz

Are you US, and if so are you by a Micro Center? Do you have peripherals, or at least a monitor? Are you overclocking (if you do a liquid cooling solution is the way to go)? Any antec based water cooling solution will work (I have the Seidon mentioned by @fishymamba and am very impressed with it).

Depending on your definition of light editing, you will want the i7 and 16gb of memory. Save money by waiting for the 760ti that is coming out in a little under 2 weeks, then check the benchmarks between that and the 770 for adobe products and what not.

My Build

Corsair Obsidian 350d // I7-4770k  // Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H  // MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5 GeForce GTX 760 // Corsair Vengance (2x8GB) 16GB // Cooler Master Seidon 240m (push-pull) // Corsair SP120 (x2) //1TB WD Blue // 120GB Samsung 840 SSD // Corsair CX600M // Win 8 - Ubuntu - OSX (on the way)

No, I'm outside of the US, otherwise I'd go by Micro Center. I have all the peripherials only need to build a tower. All I need: Case, Mobo, CPU, GPU, RAM, PSU and SSD.

corsair charges for their name.

gskill is a smaller company and typically has cheaper ram while keeping up the quality.

I'd wait for the heatsink for the shadow rock 2.supposedly it's coming in at a $40 price point and it should outperform the hyper 212,logically.

though if you prefer not to wait,I'd personally go for a phanteks ph-tc14 over the nh d14.they're just as good and they look way sexier.

and I'd advise against an AIO,something like a 240mm AIO (h100)is worse than something like a NH-D14 unless the AIO is in push pull

Would it be better to save some bucks on that RAMs? I would definitely wait for the new cooler as I'm gonna wait for GTX760 Ti as well. I'm not in a hurry. The whole July will be for that build so I can wait.
