Well my CPU is having heating problems and I am thinking I might be wrong with temp I am watching, my CPU temp goes up to 108C. Am I watching right temp or what?

CQ4k7SV.png

One that shows 96C is cpu temp, right?

This screen shoot was captured when I was doing nearly nothing

I had bsplayer on, twitch and skype.

Is program lying?

Am I watching right CPU temp?

Is my CPU temp really so big?

You have a poorly mounted CPU cooler if this is the case or you simply have no thermal paste or something.

Yes that is CPU temp.

Did you install your CPU cooler properly?

Did you put thermal paste?

I bought prebuilt PC (Yes I did massive mistake) and never touched anything inside.

Has it always been like this or did you just notice it now?

What happens when you play a game or something intensive? Does the PC shut down?

From day I bought this PC cpu cooler was loud, my PC was working alright (didn't shut down) than AMD released new driver and I had few issues, after next update my PC never shut down, when I render video or when my cpu load is at 80-100% temp goes to like 110C but still works.

If it really was that hot it would have stopped working a while ago.

I think you have an AMD CPU with the messed up temperature algorithm, its pretty common.

I do recommend that you upgrade the stock cooler though, it is loud and performs poorly. Hyper 212 evo is a great upgrade.

They said once they can replace cooler if this one has any issues.

Is the CPU thermal throttling?

  • Cooler may be incorrectly mounted
  • Thermal paste may need to be reapplied

If not, then try to feel the air around the CPU and the cooler. If the air is warm/hot, then I would still check the points above.

If the air is not hot, the cooler is correctly mounted, and thermal paste is evenly distributed and fresh, then the temperature may be wrong.

When I had an A6 my temps were always lower than room temperature (not possible). I read somewhere (no source, so dont quote me) that the A series has temperature readout problems and often cant be fixed..

In my case, the CPU temperature was  [Actual CPU temp] - [Case temp] = [CPU temp]

I thought this was to make fan curves more stable in varying environment, but I never found an official answer.

Also, to everyone hating on AMD stock coolers, the stock cooler for the A series is actually pretty decent. I overclocked an A6 from 3.8Ghz to 4.6Ghz with auto voltage and my temps never exceeded 65C

317 is watching. 317 is everywhere. 317 is life.

can't really take all those to be 100% accurate.

look at your +3v, +5v, and +12v readings, not even close to correct as the

system would not be operating. you might want to try HWInfo64.

so many errors in that report, i wouldn't trust anything to be correct or concerning.
