Would you rather buy a Gtx 970 now and game on your 22" 1680x1050@60mhz monitor for another year or would you rather buy r9 270x and a 27" 1080p?

How about we don't buy a 27" 1080p panel? Save up for both or save up and get a lesser GPU and a decent monitor.

1080p and 970

I would personally get the 970 first, because if you get the new monitor and the 270x then you would need to resell the 270x when buying a 970, which would cause you to loose some money.

But this is only if I would get the monitor within a few months. If I had to be stuck with that monitor for more than 2 months then I would get the 1080p monitor+ 270x first.

 

Also I'm pretty sure you meant 60Hz on the monitor, because if it was 60MHz then we would not be in 2014, we would be in 3014.
